Kelvin’s Bday Celebration :)

18 Oct

Went to celebrate Kelvin’s bday on Sat.

It was the first time I :

  • Decorated a cake
  • Went to Demsey Road to eat
  • Had a personal waitress to cook our food for us.
  • Stopped at a road block.

1 We went to The Icing Room to get the cake for Kelvin.

*Credits to Dino and Zhen ni too! Smile

2 After that we went to this CHANG Korean charcoal BBQ at Demsey Road! My goodness it was super nice can?!?   Its the best BBQ-ed beef I have eaten in my 20 years on this earth.  The place was packed when we got there. The assistant manager looked like she was running everywhere. Next time must remember to reserve a place first. PLUS! We even had a personal waitress bbq-ing the food for us.  Grand can?

The only bad comment I can give is that the waitress serving us can be very forgetful. You ask her for something, you would have to ask her three times before she gets you what you want.

But the food was super good that I can forget how irritated I was with the waitress.

Eat Pray Love Review

15 Oct

image

Went to catch this movie after having Nihon Mura with Xueting.

Verdict : BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD!

Not the usual kind of show that you will be expecting. Its based on a true story by Elizabeth Gilbert who was educated and had a home, a husband, and a successful career as a writer. However, she was unhappy in her marriage and often spent the night crying on her bathroom floor. She has an affair, during which she separated from her husband and initiated a divorce, which he contested. The affair continued for some time but did not work out, leaving her devastated and alone. While writing an article on yoga vacations in Bali, she met a ninth-generation medicine man who told her she would come back and study with him. After finalizing her difficult divorce, she spent the next year traveling. She spent four months in Italy, eating and enjoying life (Eat). She spent four months in India, finding her spirituality (Pray). She ended the year in Bali, Indonesia, looking for "balance" of the two and found love (Love) in the form of a dashing Brazilian factory owner.

The trip was paid for in advance from the book deal for Eat Pray Love.

The only two reason you should watch the show is because :

  • You love the book
  • You love sitting for 2 hours in the cinema that doesn’t really make sense to you.

I wouldn’t even suggest watching it if you want to kill time. Really very boring. Almost fall asleep.. *Yawns*  Would rather play one pot of 4 hour SLOW mahjong then to watch the show. (And I really don’t like to play slow. )

Thanks babe for accompanying me for the day though. Smile

Love ya lots! <3

SA2 Marking Woes.

14 Oct

Finally got a taste of what exam script markings are really like. Had the opportunity to use the OTAS machine. I always thought it would be some chucky scanning machine much like the photocopier in the staff room. But surprisingly, the machine is relatively simple, very much like any other scanner.

Teacher’s Woes =.= :

  • Cross out the wrong answer and re-shade the new answer

image

  • Used an ink pen to shade

image

Correct way to shade :

image

  • Didn’t shade register number

image

  • Shade their register number wrongly.

image

  • Try to be funny. =.=

Really wonder how they managed to get through their PSLE. =.=

Happy Birthday 20th Kelvin!

13 Oct

I’ve known you since I was 11. And I’ll never forget those days when we said, “ I don’t friend you, you don’t friend me” . And as many years go by and though our lives never cross paths, yet our friendship grew stronger and I hope that it remains this way. And on this special day, you can finally tell Dino, “Hah! I’m finally 20. When is it going to be your turn? =P.”

And finally I would like to say,

“Welcome to the 20s club bro! =)”
